Mary is the ‘lost daughter’ of Steven and Francis (Sobel) Zelinski. Born in 1893 (we think) she was the fourth child and only daughter. Some in the family say that she was left in the Old Country and never came to Canada. Contact was lost during WWll.

Januz – Jan Zielinski died in 1958; married Katarzyna Oryszczuk (1881-1953). They are buried in St John Cantius RC Cemetery, Tokaryk Lake, RM of Rossburn, MB. I added the photos to Find A Grave yesterday. Whoever set it up refers to as being in Olha, which is kind of wrong, but whatever, you just have to know how to search for it – you also have to spell out ‘Saint’
The daughter Mary is also buried there – she married Michael Sitko, but died in 1923 in childbirth. I also connected her daughter Mabel, but it may not show up yet because the person in charge of that cemetery hasn’t approved the link yet. Her name is Mabel Bezo and she is buried in Asessippi Cemetery, Inglis, MB.

Josef Zelinsky – married Mary Sicinski and she died in 1907 at age 33 yrs. She has no headstone but she is also buried in St John’s; there is cairn there with names of people buried in the cemetery with no grave markers; haven’t put it on Find A Grave yet. Josef died in 1924. Not sure if he is there or not, he is supposed to be but don’t seem to have a pic and his name is not on the cairn.
Francisczka – married Filko/Phillip Kustiak – she died in 1959 and they too are in St John’s, think they had 3 children.
There is a website that has digitized community history books in Manitoba. Google ‘University of Manitoba Digital Collections’ then you enter the spelling you are looking for in the search box and it will bring up books with that family mentioned. If you use Zielinski look under ‘ Our Story to 1984’ and there is a family bio there. It’s the 3rd one – it is a history of the RM of Strathclair. Use Zielinski and some other newer families come up
